Thabo Mbeki
Born on June 18th, 1942 Thabo Mbeki is one of the most controversial figures in African history due to his views on AIDS and his questionable decisions as president of South Africa. Son of a member of a resistance association his father was imprisoned in 1964-1987 along with fellow member Nelson Mandela, who would later take Thabo's spot as President of Sout Africa.
"If we only said safe sex, use a condom, we won't stop the spread of AIDS in this country. "
"Well, because lots of questions had been raised about the toxicity of the drug, which is very serious. "
Thabo Mbeki is a well known AIDS denialist because of his criticism of AIDS and of its (in his opinion) non-lethal effects and largely inaccurate case numbers. Thabo's denial of AIDS has caused an estimated 300,000 deaths due to his endorsements of AIDS cures like Lemons, Garlic and beetroot and his criticims of effective AIDS medicines.
